Issue
Environment
- Teamcenter Extension v4.2.1 and newer
- Teamcenter Connector v2606.0.0 and newer
Cause
The Mendix 10 Teamcenter Extension is based on C# extensibility and stores its history as journey files.
The Mendix 11 Teamcenter Extension included with Teamcenter Connector 2606.0.0 or newer is based on web extensibility and stores history differently.
So, there are two scenarios:
If the application is upgraded to Mendix 11 but the legacy Teamcenter Extension (Teamcenter Connector 2512 + Teamcenter Extension 4.2.1) remains unchanged, the existing history may still be available.
If the Teamcenter Connector is upgraded to version 2606.0.0 or newer, the legacy history is not migrated to the new web-extensibility-based Teamcenter service documents. As a result, history created in the C#-based Teamcenter Extension will not appear in the History tab of the new Teamcenter service documents. However, the original history should remain available in the legacy C#-based Teamcenter Extension, which can still be accessed through the Extensions menu.
Solution/Workaround
If the history is no longer visible, check whether the legacy journey files still exist in the path:
resources\TeamcenterExtension\usr\JourneysIf the journey files are present, they can still be opened by the legacy C#-based Teamcenter Extension (Teamcenter Connector 2512 + Teamcenter Extension 4.2.1)
If the application was upgraded to Teamcenter Connector 2606.x.x, the legacy history is not available in the new extension UI.
As a workaround, open the application in Mendix 10.x and Mendix 11.x side by side, review the history and integrations in the Mendix 10 version, and regenerate the required integrations in the Mendix 11 extension.
