Details
Mendix Cloud uses the NextGen Backups Service (NBS) with AWS Backup to perform incremental backups. However, Mendix Cloud does not currently provide user-facing functionality or an Application Programming Interface (API) to retrieve and restore a specific snapshot from an incremental backup.
This functionality is on the R&D backlog. There is no confirmed timeline for its implementation.
A specific snapshot from an incremental backup cannot currently be retrieved or restored through a user-facing API in Mendix Cloud. For general backup restoration, follow these steps:
- Review the available backup and restore options in the Mendix documentation.
- Submit a feature request through the Mendix Idea forum if restoring a specific incremental backup snapshot is required.
- Include the use case and requirements in the feature request. Product management uses feedback from the Idea forum to evaluate and prioritize new functionality.
