Renaming an attribute in Studio Pro 11.12.0 does not update its references in microflow and nanoflow expressions

In Studio Pro 11.12.0, renaming an attribute causes an error in the Studio Pro console.

Cause

This is a confirmed issue in Studio Pro 11.12.0. When an attribute is renamed, the new name is not correctly propagated to all expressions, such as Show message activities, where the attribute is referenced in microflows and nanoflows.

Solution/Workaround

The following workaround can be applied until the bug is resolved in a future Studio Pro release:

1. After renaming an attribute, use the Errors pane in Studio Pro to identify all locations where the old attribute name is still referenced.
2. Manually update each affected change activity in microflows and nanoflows to reference the new attribute name.

The Mendix development team is developing a fix for an upcoming Studio Pro release.
