Issue
When using the File Manager Widget to download Microsoft Office files (such as .xls, .xlsm, .doc, .docx) in the Microsoft Edge browser, the download fails with the error message:
file.txt cannot be downloaded - authorization requiredDespite the actual filename being different. The same download functionality works correctly in Chrome and Firefox browsers. When copying the generated download link from Edge and pasting it into Chrome or Firefox, the download works as expected.

Cause
This issue occurs in Microsoft Edge versions 147.0.3912.60 or newer, and is caused by browser-specific behavior in Microsoft Edge when handling file downloads with specific MIME types. Edge browser treats certain file types differently than other browsers, particularly Microsoft Office document formats, which results in authentication and filename issues during the download process.
Solution/Workaround
This is a known issue related to browser-specific file download handling.
To solve this issue, upgrade to the following Studio Pro versions:
9.24.43 or above.
11.11.0 or above.
11.6.7 or above.
10.24.20 or above.
Or workaround it by applying one or more of the following solutions:
Use an alternative browser (such as Chrome or Firefox) for downloading Microsoft Office files when using the File Manager Widget.
In Microsoft Edge, in Settings > Downloads, toggle Open Office files in the browser to Off.
In Studio Pro, in the File Manager widget container, set Show file in browser to No.
