External names on message definition keep resetting in Studio Pro

Issue

When defining custom external names of a nested object in a message definition, the external name is not stored. When reopening the message definition, the external name is reset to the default.

Environment

• Studio Pro v10.24.11 and older
• Studio Pro v11.4.0 and older

Cause

The custom external name in the message definition’s nested object should be saved. However, due to a bug in Studio Pro, the custom external name is not saved. 

Solution/Workaround

Upgrade to Studio Pro 10.24.12 or Studio Pro 11.5.0 or newer.
