When the app is deployed to a sandbox environment for the first time (with no database provisioned), and the project has a data-snapshot.zip file, the snapshot within the project is restored to the sandbox environment. While this process successfully the database backup the document files are not uploaded to the file storage of the sandbox environment.

This is the system behavior, and no plans exist to modify it.

When the app is redeployed, only the data snapshot is retrieved, not including documents like files and images.

Solution / Workaround

There is no alternative solution available for this particular situation. As a result, it is necessary to re-upload all documents and images that are associated with the project. This means that any previously uploaded files will need to be loaded again from their original sources.
