Issue

Custom user roles created within the project do not appear as selected options in the Select Module Roles screen for the module Nanoflow Commons. This particular screen is located under the App Security configuration settings. Instead of displaying the various custom roles that have been set up, the interface only shows the default User role option.

Environment

• Studio Pro (all versions)
• Nanoflow Commons (all versions)

Cause

Nanoflow Commons identifies only two non-persistable entities (NPEs), Geolocation and Position, that require write access. To facilitate this, these entities must be associated with a specific role. Any user role within the application that requires access to, or modification of, geolocation or position data must be appropriately mapped to the user role.

Solution/Workaround

The Nanoflow Commons module does not require the assignment of any extra roles. This design choice simplifies its implementation and usage, allowing users to engage with the module without the need for complex role management, eliminating the necessity for additional roles.
