Introduction

This article describes how to change an application's name in Mendix Portal. Please note that whether or not this task can be performed depends on the user's permissions (more on this in the section Instructions/Procedure), and not on their role. This means that a Technical Contact might not be able to perform this task if they do not possess the correct permissions.

Instructions/Procedure

To check your App Settings permissions, follow the steps below:

1. Open the relevant app in Mendix Portal
2. Navigate to General > Team > Roles tab
3. Click on Edit on the role you wish to check. To perform this task, it should be set to Edit.

To change the application name, follow the steps below:

1. Open your app in Mendix Portal

2. Navigate to General > Settings > click on the pencil icon next to the app's name

3. Insert the new name

4. Click Done.

Outcome

Once the steps have been completed, the new name should be reflected in the app within a few moments.
