Issue

The product owner of the project requires the users to be able to log in to the app using the MXAdmin credentials. The option to add this username to the Okta Connector configuration is not available.

Cause

The Okta Connector, in its people configuration page, only allows an email address as a username; hence is not possible to add MxAdmin as a person.

The purpose of this requirement is to ensure that Okta is mainly utilized for managing human users and their access to applications and resources.

Solution/Workaround

This is the standard behavior and how the connector was designed. This is not a bug or limitation.

Additionally, this action would not be a recommendation since the MxAdmin username serves as a useful backdoor to the application, as it is the sole user that can be remotely accessed via Sprintr in the event you are locked out of your application.
